OCES Departmental Seminar: Mechanistic dissection of alga recognition and uptake in coral-algal endosymbiosis
Corals form an endosymbiotic relationship with the dinoflagellate algae Symbiodiniaceae, but ocean warming can trigger alga loss, coral bleaching and death, and the degradation of ecosystems. Mitigation of coral death requires a mechanistic understanding of coral-algal endosymbiosis.

Department of Mathematics - Seminar on PDE - Leapfrogging for Euler equations
We consider the Euler equations for incompressible fluids in 3-dimension. A classical question that goes back to Helmholtz is to describe the evolution of vorticities with a high concentration around a curve.

Department of Mathematics - Seminar on Statistics and Data Science - Semiparametric efficient G-estimation with invalid instrumental variables
The instrumental variable method is widely used in the health and social sciences for identification and estimation of causal effects in the presence of potential unmeasured confounding.

Department of Mathematics - Seminar on Pure Mathematics - Conjecture O and Gamma conjecture I for Fano manifolds
In this talk, we will discuss Conjecture O and Gamma conjecture I for Fano manifolds in more details. We will review the current approaches to both conjectures in various concrete examples.

Department of Mathematics - Seminar on Pure Mathematics - Gamma Conjecture II for smooth quadratic hypersurfaces
In this talk, we will discuss Gamma conjecture II for Fano manifolds in more details. We will give a criterion for Gamma conjecture II, which is based on Dubrovin's result of meromorphic continuation of semi-simple Frobenius manifolds.
